FERRIERE CLASSIC RING (FCR)

DESCRIPTION

The 57 km course unfolds almost entirely within the municipality of Ferriere, with the exception of a short 2 km stretch crossing into Santo Stefano d’Aveto in Liguria. The route has been designed to include ALL the highest peaks in the area; by the end of the race, runners will have conquered seven summits above 1,300 m. Weather conditions may change suddenly (wind and rain), despite the summer season. Combined with demanding sections and technical passages (classified as EE hiking level), this makes proper physical preparation essential before taking on the challenge. The race starts at 7:00 AM from Piazza delle Miniere in Ferriere.
